Description
Peranakan culture is the result of intermarriage and assimilation between the Chinese and the Malay. The culinary traditions of the Peranakan people combine both cultures. The word ‘peranakan’ means ‘descendant of the Nonya’, which is the name for the Malay women who married Chinese men. The word ‘nonya’ is the Hokkien version of the Malay word ‘nyonya’.
Happie Cookie team is of the 4th generation peranakan heritage. Our traditional Peranakan dumplings are bursting with flavour. Handmade with pork, onions, shallots, diced winter melon and secret seasonings, each bite will take you on a journey of the Singaporean palate. The dumplings follows our chinese cultural traditions, are delicately folded by hand, which makes them both mouthwatering and visually appealing. These dumplings are made fresh every day in small batches, so they are always served warm, and are perfect for sharing with friends and family.
